Corona virus was reportedly detected in Wuhan City, China. Recently the virus has claimed 17 lives and infected hundreds of citizens in China.

The Chinese National Health Commission said the virus was first reported to WHO on December 31, 2019.

Chinese scientists say this virus has similarities like the SARS and MERS viruses which can be deadly as a result. Chinese authorities confirm that this virus can spread from human to human.

Usually this virus is found in animals ranging from livestock to pets. And also found in bats.

When the virus is transmitted to humans they will cause fever, respiratory illness and pneumonia.

People with immune disorders, such as the elderly or people with HIV-AIDS, this condition will get worse.

It is estimated that this new virus in China originated from the Huanan Sea Wholesale Center in Wuhan. While Wuhan itself is a city with a population of 11 million. The Wuhan market sells fish and a large amount of meat for other animals.

Not only in China, but a number of other countries are also reported to have contracted the virus.

As a result of the spread of this virus the Chinese authorities will close down Wuhan City, and cancel all transportation routes.

Travel restrictions will apply until an undetermined date. This new Coronavirus causes symptoms similar to other coronaviruses.

A large number of infected people experience symptoms of mild pneumonia, but others show severe pneumonia.
